The Munich music group was founded in 1991 by Karl Eichinger, Wolfgang Köbele and Heinz Fuhrmann. In 1992, after several TV appearances, the band traveled with Karl Moik , Maria Hellwig , Patrick Lindner and other artists 64 days on Europatournee. In 1994 the band flew together with 40 parachute jumpers to Fortaleza in Brazil to the BOOGIE DO BRASIL. Several open-air concerts were given there. At the beginning of 1997 the second tour with Karl Moik , Franzl Lang and Al Martino and other artists followed through Germany. 1998 was the third tour with Peter and Gerda Steiner , Oswald Sattler , Angela Wiedl , Lolita and Rex Gildo through Germany. In the year 2000 came a cooperation with Rudolph Moshammer and the production of the title Mooshamma . The single came under the TOP 100 of the single charts. In 2001, he took part in the German preliminary decision on the Grand Prix of Eurovision de la Chanson titled Fret and Grief . This performance as well as two previous appearances at the Grand Prix of the national music and Grand Prix of the good mood brought the band an entry into the Guinness Book of Records with three Grand Prix performances in nine months.

From 1995 to 2013 the music group appeared in the hippodrome , the oldest festival tent of the Munich Oktoberfest ; Since 2014 in the succession of Marstall .

The band includes the founding members Wolfgang Köbele ( bass ) and Heinzi Fuhrmann ( trumpet ) as well as Gerry Grass (lead vocals , guitar and trumpet ), Andreas "Anderl" Häckel ( keyboard and accordion ), Mark Fugmann ( drums ) and Robert "Hasi" Haslinger ( guitar ).

In 2003, the competition "A Song for the Oktoberfest" took place in Munich's Hofbräuzelt, broadcast by the ZDF , which the band won "Let's go to Oktoberfest".

In 2007 the Oktoberfestband celebrated 15 years of banding and combined this with the 150th anniversary of the Weißwurst and published the single Weißwurst ich liebe Dich . In 2008, a collaboration with the composer Ralph Siegel and the release of the single I mag Munich on the occasion of the 850th anniversary of the city of Munich came to an end . In 2010 the band released their eighth album titled Heute feiern wir . 2012 appeared the live CD 20 years of Münchner Zwietracht . In the year 2016 the Studioalbum Mittendrin appeared with thirteen new titles, for the first time in collaboration with the record company Tyrolis Music .
