Rudi van Dalm ( Banka , 27 February 1937 ) is a Dutch singer and guitarist of Indonesian origin.

In the 1950s he traveled as a guitarist through Java , New Guinea and Australia . In 1960 he came to the Netherlands . In his hometown Nijmegen he founded The Royal Rhythmics with which he performed in local nightclubs. In 1963 he won a talent show organized by John Kristel and signed a record deal. In 1964 the first album was released and the formation was active until the late 70s.

The music that he makes is counted among the indorock and later music to the indopop . Later he went singing with his children and they made albums under the name Rudi van Dalm and his Raindrops.

Rudi van Dalm is now a much sought-after artist at the Pasar Malam where he performs together with his daughters and son. The Dalm family is a musical family pur sang. Children and grandchildren are currently following in the footsteps of their father and grandfather.
