Vasco Rossi, also known as Vasco or the appellation Blasco (Zocca, February 7, 1952), is an Italian singer-songwriter.

Self-described causes (u) tore, released 30 albums since the beginning of his career (from 1977), including 17 studio albums, nine live albums and four officers gathered, and he composed a total of more than 150 songs as well as numerous texts and music for other performers. With over 35 million copies sold [6] it is one of the most successful Italian singers and fame, [and one among Italians artists who have sold the most records.

Initially dubbed The Komandante by members of his official fan club, this name has remained in the collective imagination, and also used in a different context. In the eighties, because of the lavish life style characterized by alcohol, drugs, women and continuous frantic tour, received considerable criticism from the mass media.
At the urging of his friends, including Gaetano Curreri, leader of the Stadium, recorded in 1977 its first 45 laps, Jenny / Silvia containing the songs Jenny (a sort of Jenny draft is crazy) and Silvia, for the label Borgatti Music, which until then had taken care of the production and distribution of records related to ballroom dancing.

The following year lets out his first album, ... But what do you want it to be a song ..., distributed only in Emilia-Romagna. The album is the singer-songwriter mold, still far from the rock line adopted by Vasco in the years to come.

Her second album was released in 1979 under the title We're not Americans. The disc gets more successful than the previous one, although in terms of sales does not reach high levels. The album became famous mainly because it contains the song Albachiara, who years later will be discovered by the general public and will become one of the major successes of Vasco, and for years the final piece of a large part of his concerts. The first appearance of Rossi on television is dated January 10, 1979, when participating as a competitor to the transmission 10 Hertz conducted by Gianni Morandi. At the end of the program, Vasco sings Witch (the Saturday evening diva). The footage was repeated, thirty years later, as We are History in the special Only Vasco Catherine Pond of 26 November 2008.

In that period, his first appearance in the square, precisely in Piazza Maggiore in Bologna at the initiative of Bibi Ballandi, his first manager.

On 31 October 1979 the father dies Giovanni Carlo died of a heart attack while he was making a maneuver aboard his truck in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. It is a terrible shock for Vasco, which at first, suffering from feelings of guilt for having undertaken a profession so different from that of the father, even thinks of abandoning the music world.

Vivere is a single by the Italian singer-songwriter Vasco Rossi released in 1993, included in the album Gli spari sopra.

The songwriter will say that the song was born almost by chance, by an improvised and repeated agreement by Massimo Riva and a provocative "na -na-na" by Tullio Ferro, during a short stay of the three at Villa Condulmer
