The Geschwister Hofmann are a singing duo and multi-instrumentalists in the field of the German hit . The sisters Alexandra Geiger (born Hofmann, * February 11, 1974 in Sigmaringen ) and Anita Hofmann (born April 13, 1977 in Sigmaringen) came from Jungnau and have lived in the Igelswies district of Messkirchen since 1988. Since 2012 they no longer appear under the label Geschwister Hofmann , but as Anita & Alexandra Hofmann .

Instruments
Alexandra and Anita play several instruments, for example trumpet (anita), alphorn , horns, xylophone (anita) as well as piano, accordion and Styrian harmonica, guitar, harp, dulcimer and lyra , saxophone and flutes.

Career
At the age of six and nine, the girls were already on the stage. The two sisters presented their first own stage program (a two-hour musical show) on 19 May 1988 on the occasion of the 40th birthday of their father Josef (Sepp) Hofmann from St. Magdalena in the Pustertal in South Tyrol . Anita gave Elvis Presley and Alexandra played on the keyboard. The sisters had a first appearance in the same year in a Festzelt at the Gögginger Bierfest with the Buam Buam .

Starting in 1989, the two performed with their own music show, a mixture of rock'n'roll, folk music, pop and pop at festivals and events in the region. Through these events the Geschwister Hofmann achieved a high degree of recognition in the Baden-Württemberg region. From 1990 various albums with popular hits were released ; Later their repertoire developed into modern hits. Since then, the duo has often been represented in relevant television broadcasts.

In 2005, they completed their first Solotournee across Germany (with the MDR TV Ballet and the Edelweiss Express). A sequel ensued in 2006. There are TV recordings and a DVD of some appearances. In the years 2006 and 2007, two television shows were broadcast in the SWR ( Geschwister Hofmann Summerparty on 25 August 2006 and Geschwister Hofmann Partyzeit - a bit of fun must be on 26 January 2007). In 2010, the singing duo ended the long-standing collaboration with the producer Jean Frankfurter and changed to Jack White , with whom the Geschwister Hofmann released the first joint CD. Whose title song And we fly is an adaptation of the song you and I , which White already produced for Ireen Sheer in 2006.

Since 2012 they call themselves Anita & Alexandra Hofmann . First release under the new name was the DVD "We fly tour".
In 2013, Anita & Alexandra Hofmann celebrated their 25th anniversary jubilee with a fan weekend (anniversary gala & fanfest) on 30 November 2013 and 1 December 2013 in Europa-Park ,
