Toni Santagata, also in the spelling Tony Santagata, pseudonym of Antonio Morese (Sant'Agata di Puglia, 9 December 1935), is a singer-songwriter, comedian and Italian actor.

Antoni Morese enrolled in the Faculty of Law in Naples: here he founded his first group. Moving to Rome, in 1959 he is already one of the protagonists of the Embassy, ​​one of the symbols of the sweet Roman life. He sings his songs, written by him, including Quant'Ť bello lu primm'ammore, La zita, Li strascenete and many others, considered however not commercial by the record labels. In the meantime he is one of the historical founders of Folkstudio in the early sixties. Then the Sunset Record publishes the first record.

In 1964 Quant'Ť bello lu primm'ammore is published as the back of the single Miezz'a la piazza, songs not intentionally deposited at SIAE. The record was immediately censored by Rai. Promoter of the Italian cabaret, after being the first to use the Pugliese dialect with his original cabaret, which he devised, in 1967 he took part in Cantaeuropa, invited by Ezio Radaelli. Invited to the festival the Golden Boat in Naples and wins with a song against the war. Invited to represent the world of cabaret, to commemorate TotÚ at the Politeama theater, the only non-Neapolitan artist, he writes and sings Carissimo TotÚ.

In 1968 he was the only singing guest at the Taormina Film Festival, where he was given a full 16 minutes. In 1970, after 220 performances as protagonist at the Derby Club in Milan, where he won the "Golden Bolt" as best stand-up comedian. He is invited by Marcello Marchesi to participate in "Like my face" (4 episodes on Rai 1 in the early evening). Also in 1970 he is the author of the acronym of transmission A as an agriculture.

In 1971, Rai invited him to participate in the Special 3 million program, where he is present for 4 out of 5 episodes, as an Italian singer-songwriter, where he presents. The contestant rooster, The loaf, An army of violets, The sower, all of his composition. Meanwhile, there are thousands of shows as a protagonist in the major Italian theaters and cabarets. In 1972 Radaelli, under pressure from the great director Anton Giulio Majano, wrote for Cantaeuropa that year.
