L'Istrione (The cabotin), song of 1970. The text is the description of an actor, a character with a theatricality inherent in itself, which underlines his talent to entertain the crowds. The protagonist of the song is presented as so talented as to mislead not only the public attending to his show, but, in the end, even he himself. The song has been covered by numerous artists, and, in Italy, was played by Renato Zero and Massimo Ranieri, with the title of "L'Istrione".
