How To Choose OTS For Styles Created From Midi Files

I would still like to get into style creation from midi files when I have time.........Please could you let me know if you have any tips on which instruments are best to choose for the OTS of a style?  :smiley-music022:

There seems to be a good year! 8)

My rule is that there are instruments which are closest to the melody line, which determines the setting of OTS (Yamaha) / STS (Korg).

There is also a certain pattern for the selection of solo instrument; for example, the typical instrument crew in a jazz trio consisting of
drums, bass and guitar - where the guitar is the natural solo instrument; and it is often used different types of guitars for OTS.

All genres of music can be said to have a similar pattern.

Chris is good with this; he can probably help you if necessary.
