MIDI to Styles - our future? Part 1
Part 1

If you look through all the styles that have been created and delivered with new keyboards from the digital keyboards birthday,
you probably have a clear picture at the end:

Most styles repeats themselves between different manufacturers and models; with very small variations.

It is therefore remarkable that most people desperately looking for styles among these, when there is an endless source among midis.

It is tempting to believe that this is due to lack of knowledge about how styles can be created from midi, and this is certainly partly true;
but it is a fact that the necessary software can be found, just as there are people who can use this right.

And my experience is that this is usually very easy to use; but that it also sometimes require very much time to get good results,
and sets requirements for the user, as this is not conscious.

So why is this market so untapped that it is?

I think the answer can be found if people ask themselves who traditionally have developed styles, and what qualifications they have for this.

What is it that makes these developers retain their positions?

They are all musicians. As we are. But they are semi-professional musicians, something we are not. So may I ask further: What is it they have, which we do not have?
