The musical formation was born in autumn 1998. Four friends decide to form the group whose songs are taken from the traditional Breton , French , Quebecois repertoire ...

In 2011 , after more than 10 years of collaboration and four shows ("Sake the Boys", "Tempete en Mare" (2000-2006), "Radio Pirate" (2006-2008), "C'est ma tourée" -2012)), two of its four members, Manu Moreau and Patrick Haager decide to leave the group.

Cré tonnerre then recruited via auditions 1 three new musicians: Pierre Ughi, Romain Daugny and Cedric Grandhenry. In 2012 they release the song A "P'tit Orval  " illustrated by their first video clip 2 available on YouTube . In 2013 , following the departure of Romain Daugny, Mathieu Menot joined the group for the new tour entitled "Bordées Sauvages".
