DJ The Wave (born March 6, 1971 , actually Andreas Witek ) is an Austrian musician and DJ , who together with Buddy 2003 with Ab to the south a summer hit.

At the age of 16 he practiced as a DJ and already produced his own mixes. At that time he was in the training as a chemical engineer. Seven years later he made his hobby into his main profession. Later he contributed a great contribution to the construction of the Austrian discos scene.

In 2003 he made it to the South with the Berlin Buddy and Ab in the South on place 1 of the Austrian and on place 2 of the German Charts .

In the same year DJ The Wave and Buddy released the song Ab to the North , where the text of the original Ab was changed to the South accordingly.
