Michele, pseudonym of Gianfranco Michele Maisano (Vigevano, 22 June 1944), is an Italian singer.


He still moved a child to Genoa, the city where he attended the Nautical Institute; at the age of 14 he recorded the first 45 laps with two tracks, Sono dannato and Flirt, two rock 'n' roll that he performed with the accompaniment of the Orchestra Zanti and with the name Gianfranco Maisano.

During the scholastic period he performs live with his ensemble in the premises of his city, and is noticed by one of his fellow citizens, the teacher Gian Piero Reverberi, who makes him engrave his song, But if you want, for the Assolo, a under the label of Karim: the record does not get success, but arouses the attention of the Italian RCA, which decides to put it under contract.

In 1966 another of his notable successes is Dite a Laura (I love her) (cover of Tell Laura I Love Her), which makes him known abroad.
