Collage is an Italian musical group that has been a good success at the turn of the seventies and eighties, thanks to its participation in various festivals in Sanremo.

The reference is to the pop music genre Italian melodic.

Taking inspiration for the name, from the album of the band Collage Le Orme, the first nucleus of the complex it is formed in Olbia in 1971 from the union between the MAL P2 and The Angels of the brothers Piero and Tore Fazzi [1], originating in Alà dei Sardi. The idea is the guitarist olbiese Piero Pischedda, realized under the leadership of saxophonist / manager Paoluccio Masala, the band's handyman and carpenter by profession.

The first line includes Masino Usai on drums, Piero Pischedda on lead guitar, Neapolitan Pino Ambrosio to keyboards and vocals, Tore Fazzi to bass and vocals, Piero Fazzi on rhythm guitar and vocals, as well as singer Luciano Degortes, which in 1974 will abandon definitively the group, including the call to military service. The quintet began playing in Sardinia, but in 1972 was a guest at the Castrocaro Festival with the song You who think of everything. The band was noticed by Massimo Di Cicco, the manufacturer, which in 1975 allows the debut of the complex in the room for the recording of the song wrong Angels, who will become the first 45 laps of his discography.

Already in forrmazione five (for the defection of Degortes), the complex of Collage get a contract with the Harmony, owned label SAAR Walter Guertler, and in 1976 he won the Castrocaro Festival with the song Two boys in the sun, with which is enjoying considerable success, and gained fame among the general public.

In 1977 the band arrives in Sanremo to participate in the 27th edition of the Italian Song Festival with the song You steal my soul (finishing second): the first two singles reach the top of the charts and lead to the success of their first album two boys in the sun, republished after participation in the Sanremo Festival with the title You steal my soul.

In the following years the success always arrives on time with songs like Red Sun, She did not know make love, woman music, Another summer, People talk, Boys who love each other.

Between one tour and the other the band takes part in three other editions of the Sanremo festival (at the XXIX edition of the 1979 People are talking, the XXXI edition of the 1981 Kids who love each other and at the XXXIV edition of 1984 with How I love you ) and launches in Spain and South America Como dos niños, little by little ..., the habla people and Sol caliente, Spanish versions of some of the biggest hits of the complex, which are placed on top of the charts.

After a period of reflection and some defections, on the principle of the nineties the Fazzi brothers, the only survivors of the original lineup, with the collaboration of other musicians (including Mario Chessa, violinist and keyboardist valid), giving rise to experimentation with new sounds that characterize a new artistic course; the recording revival happens with the album cd Replay of 1994 and, in 2000, with the album anthology Settantaseiduemila also contains live recordings.

In 2003 born the new atmosphere of Habits and no, a recording project of unpublished where Italian melodies are dressed in rock-blues sounds and rhythms and even funky.

From the concert recorded in August 2008 in Muro Leccese (Lecce) is released a double live album in 2010, which brings the atmosphere of past performances and a new unreleased single: Do not forget you.

In 2010 the complex settles as a quartet, while the Tour 2012 comes in a permanent drummer and percussionist Francesco Astara.

In 2016, the collage are engaged in recording their eighth studio album, whose release is scheduled for 2017.
