"Diana" is a song written and made famous by Paul Anka in 1957,  recorded in May 1957 at Don Costa studio in New York City. Reportedly inspired by a high school friend of Anka's named Diana Ayoub,  in an interview with NPR's Terry Gross in 2005, Anka stated that it was inspired by a girl at his church whom he hardly knew. Session musicians on the record included Bucky Pizzarelli on Guitar, Irving Wexler on piano, Jerry Bruno on bass, and Panama Francis on drums. The song was recorded in May 1957 at RCA studios.

Backup singers included Artie Ripp (who later in his career as a music industry executive was the first to sign and produce Billy Joel as a solo artist[4] after Michael Lang, who had given Joel a monetary advance, passed Joel along to Ripp--while retaining rights to a cut of profits from Joel's output--to focus his attentions elsewhere instead.)

The original Paul Anka 1957 recording reached number one on the Billboard "Best Sellers In Stores" chart (although it climbed no higher than number 2 on Billboard′s composite "Top 100" chart) and has reportedly sold over nine million copies.  "Diana" also hit number one on the R&B Best Sellers list chart.  It also reached number 1 in the UK Singles Chart and sold 1.25 million copies in the UK.

After signing with RCA Records, Anka re-recorded "Diana", along with many other hits in 1963. All these versions were also published in Italian for a special LP.

Billboard ranked it as the No. 5 song for 1959.

The song was covered in 1971 by Billy "Crash" Craddock, which was released on the album Knock Three Times. Donny Osmond had a 1972 single revival of the song, charting as the B-side to his hit single, "Why".

In 2007, "Lonely Boy" appeared on the Classic Songs (greatest hits) disc of Anka's album Classic Songs, My Way.

"Put Your Head on My Shoulder" is a song written by Canadian singer-songwriter Paul Anka.

Anka's version was released as a single by ABC-Paramount in 1959 as catalog number 4510040. It was arranged and conducted by Don Costa. The B-side was "Don't Ever Leave Me".  "Put Your Head on My Shoulder" became very successful, reaching number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The song was repopularized when released as a single by The Lettermen in 1968. This version peaked just outside the top forty of the Hot 100, but continued their streak of top forty adult contemporary hits.

This song is not to be confused with the Beach Boys' "Don't Talk (Put Your Head on My Shoulder)" (Brian Wilson/Tony Asher) from Pet Sounds (1966), with which it has much in common musically.

"Dream Lover" is a song written by Bobby Darin and recorded by him on April 6, 1959.

Darin decided to stretch out some chord changes he found on the piano and add strings and voices.  The song was produced by Ahmet Ertegun and Jerry Wexler and engineered by Tom Dowd. It was released as a single on Atco Records in the U.S. in 1959. It became a multi-million seller, reaching No.2 on the U.S. charts for a week and No.4 on the R&B charts.

"Dream Lover" was kept from the No.1 spot by "The Battle of New Orleans" by Johnny Horton. It did however reach No.1 in the U.K. for four weeks during June and July 1959.  In addition to Darin's vocal, the song features Neil Sedaka on piano.  A picture sleeve, featuring a portrait of Darin, was also issued for this record in the U.S.

The song is featured in the 1991 movie Hot Shots! starring Charlie Sheen. A remake of the song performed by Dion is also played in full, during the end credits. The song was also used in Michael Apted's 1974 movie Stardust and in Barry Levinson's 1982 debut film Diner. A version of the song, retitled "Dream Maker" and with rewritten lyrics, appears in the pilot of the 1987 TV series Rags to Riches. In 2014, the song was featured in the episode "The Immutable Truth" of Bates Motel.

Peter McCann released a version of the song as a single in 1982 which did not chart.
