The Cousins is a Belgian guitar band created in the late fifties that released the single ' Kili Watch ' .

The band started under the name 'Les jeunes équipes', but during a performance in a Brussels club they changed the name to The Cousins. In 1960 the band was discovered by record manager Jean Kluger . They scored a big hit with Kili Watch that year , of which a million singles were sold. The song was an adaptation of an Indian song that bassist Gus Derese learned from the scouts.

The Cousins also had the press and the then emerging teen magazines, since they were the first Belgian " Rock-'n-roll " band that could also fulfill it outside Belgium.
