The Rebels were an Italian musical group, born as a support group of Adriano Celentano, who then continued his career independently.

After the Rock Boys broke up in 1959, Adriano Celentano had to find a new band to accompany the concerts: he then hired a young Mantov drummer, Gianni Dall'Aglio (nicknamed Cocaina because his parents ran a grocery store), who plays in the Original Quartet ( Celentano heard him play in a club), and with Nando de Luca on keyboards, his nephew Gino Santercole (from the Califfi di Clem Sacco) on guitar, "Giannino" on bass and Giorgio Benacchio (sometimes surname is written Bennacchio) to the second guitar form I Ribelli, from the title of the song of Celentano launched a few months before (the name of the first years is I Ribelli di Adriano Celentano).

Benacchio and Pasquadibisceglie played with Dall'Aglio in the Original Quartet. The debut with the new group takes place in mid-September, at the Avanti Festival! at the Ravizza park in Milan, where the new single Teddy girl (whose text is by Luciano Beretta) is proposed: the public appreciates the new musicians, especially the baby drummer (who anticipates a decade from Michael Shrieve). When Celentano leaves for military service, the Rebels become the group that accompanies Clem Sacco.
