Sadly he passed away a few months ago :(  Val Doonican that is and not Fikke who is a good friend and a great source for many of the midi files I post to this site!!!

Thanks fikke, I did't have the  Val Doonican book  :08:
His Percy French song, The Darlin' Girl From Clare, is about a festival that used to be held in a town a couple of miles from where I am....  I've known a few of the 'darlins', and several versions of the song, most as it got later and later into the night/morning LOL
