Agnetha Åse Fältskog ([aŋne: ta o: sə fɛltsku: g]; Jönköping, 5 April 1950) is a Swedish singer, composer and record producer, co-founder of the ABBA music group, to which they were part until their dissolution in 1982; soloist has alternated moments of activity with periods of retreat from the scenes.

Born in Jönköping, in the Swedish province of Småland, she is the first of two sisters. It shows a very early musical propensity, making its debut in front of an adult audience at the age of 6 in a Christmas party organized by his father, while at 5 he begins to take piano lessons and sings in the choir of his own city church. Soon he began composing his first songs and became the first voice in an orchestra at the age of 15. At the age of 16 he was employed as a receptionist in a car dealership. She has repeatedly said that the singers she has been inspired by and most influenced by are Marianne Faithfull, Connie Francis and Aretha Franklin.

He then signed his first recording contract in 1967 recording his first single Jag Var Sa Kär, publishing his first album of the same name the following year. His greatest success before the ABBAs reached him with the single Om tårar vore guld in 1970, which remained at the top of the Swedish charts for 15 weeks, imposing it as a prima donna of the Swedish music scene.

It will be during a telecast that will meet Björn Ulvaeus, leader of the group Hootenanny Singers, who will marry on 6 July 1971, and then divorced in 1980, and with whom he had two children, Linda (born in 1973) and Christian (born in 1977) . The meeting with another engaged couple, Benny Andersson and Frida Lyngstad, will be fundamental for the birth of one of the biggest pop groups in history in the international field, the ABBA for the note.
