No Angels were an all-female pop band from Germany formed in 2000. The group consisted of band members Nadja Benaissa, Lucy Diakovska, Sandy Mölling, Vanessa Petruo, and Jessica Wahls. Originally a quintet, they originated on the international television talent show Popstars and was one of the first television-cast acts to achieve continued success throughout Central Europe in the early 2000s.

Following a major success with record-breaking single "Daylight in Your Eyes" and debut album Elle'ments in 2001, a series of hit records established their position as one of the most successful female band vocalists to emerge in the early decade. With four number-one hits, three number-one albums and record sales of more than 5.0 million.  they became both the biggest-selling German girlband of all time and the most successful girlband of the 2000s in Continental Europe, winning three ECHOs, a World Music Awards, a NRJ Music Award, two Comets, a Bambi and a Goldene Kamera.

In fall 2003, the members went their separate ways due to lasting exhaustion, focusing on their individual solo careers in music, theatre, television and film. In 2007, it was confirmed that four members of the original line-up had re-formed permanently and were set to record their first studio album in over four years, Destiny (2007). A year after, the group represented Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade, where they finished 23rd in the final voting.

After another musical hiatus, the band released a second post-reunion studio album titled Welcome to the Dance in 2009 which failed commercially.  In September 2010, Benaissa officially left the band due to private reasons, leaving No Angels as a trio. Contrary to previous statements, further projects failed to materialize and the group has split again since.

Daylight in Your Eyes" is the debut song by all-female German pop group No Angels. It was written by Tony Bruno and Tommy Byrnes and initially recorded by American rock band New Life Crisis. A Tony Moran-produced remix of their version appeared on the MTV Party to Go Remixed compilation (2001), but as their record company, Tommy Boy Entertainment, folded soon after, the group's original recording failed to receive a wider release, and the song was eventually sold separately abroad. There, "Daylight" was purchased by Epic Records and re-recorded by Columbian singer Victoria Faiella for her debut album with the label.

In 2001, Faiella's producer Peter Plate offered the newly created pop group No Angels to re-record "Daylight in Your Eyes" for their debut studio album Elle'ments (2001) following their participation in the first installment of the German adaption of the reality television program Popstars. Released as the band's debut single on February 5, 2001 in German-speaking Europe and the following months in the United Kingdom and the United States, the single became a major international hit, reaching number-one in Austria, Estonia, Germany, and Switzerland, making it the No Angels' most successful single release to date.

The song became the best-selling single of the year 2001 in Germany,  and emerged as one of the best-selling German recordings of the decade, ranking fifth on the highest-selling singles of the 2000s in Germany.  It was nominated for an Amadeus Austrian Music Award and awarded the 2002 ECHO Award for Single of the Year (National). "Daylight in Your Eyes" received a Platinum certification from the Bundesverband Musikindustrie for shipping half a million copies,  and has since been covered by various artists.

"Disappear" is a song recorded by all-female German pop group No Angels, taken from Destiny Reloaded (2008), the reissue of their fourth studio album Destiny (2007). It was written by Norwegian singer-songwriter Hanne Sørvaag along with Danish musicians Remee and Thomas Troelsen, the latter of which also handled production on the track. A mid-paced pop song that is built on a ticking clock sample, the song is influenced by elements of Europop and synthpop. Its instrumentation consists essentially of synthesizers and keyboards. Lyrically, it finds the protagonist thinking deeply over her relationship with her love interest from whom she parted; however, she still pines for him and feels self-conscious for doing so.

A shortened version of the song served as Germany's entry for the 53rd Eurovision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade, having earned tight 50.5% of the audience vote over solo singer Carolin Fortenbacher at the national pre-selection show, Grand Prix Vorentscheid, in March 2008.

In the final show of the ESC, on 24 May 2008, the song finished 23rd (out of 25) in the final voting, having earned a total of fourteen points only. Released as a single on 29 February 2008 in German-speaking Europe, the song reached number 4 on the German Singles Chart, where it became the band's biggest-selling single since their reformation in fall 2006. "Disappear" also reached the top 30 of the Hungarian Airplay Chart, the top 40 of the Ö3 Austria Top 40 and peaked at number 21 on the composite Eurochart Hot 100 Singles chart.

A music video for the single, directed and produced by Daniel Lwowski, was filmed inside a castle in Potsdam in January 2008 and stars German actor Oliver Mommsen in a supporting role. It deptics the band as ghost-like entities, who are awakened when a foreigner visits heir home.

Throughout the video, each of them tries to approach him in different ways. "Disappear" was performed on several television such as Willkommen bei Carmen Nebel, Unsere Besten and Music Idol. It was later featured on their compilation albums, Very Best of No Angels (2008).

"No Angel (It's All in Your Mind)" is a song recorded by German pop band No Angels. It was written by Pete Kirtley, Tim Hawes and Liz Winstanley for the group's third studio album Pure (2003), while production was helmed by Nik Hafemann. The mid-tempo pop track incorporates minor pop rock and soft rock elements; the song's instrumentation includes drums and guitars. It marked the group's first release without fifth band member Jessica Wahls following her break from the band due to maternity. Contemporary music citics gave the song a generally positive reception. Commercially, "No Angel (It's All in Your Mind)" was an instant success: It debuted at number-one on the German Singles Chart, the group's fourth single to do so. Still in Love with You" is a song performed by German group No Angels. Penned and composed by Figge Boström and Johan Lindman of Swedish songwriting collective La Carr, it was co-produced by Pontus Söderqvist and Nick Nice for the band's second studio album Now... Us! (2002). A mid-paced latin pop ballad, it showcases a more mature side from the band, with its instrumentation consisting essentially of flamenco guitars and bongo drums. Lyrically, the track finds the female protagonist thinking deeply over her relationship with her love interest from whom she parted; however, she still pines for him and feels self-conscious for doing so.

A slightly remixed version of the song was released as the album's second single through Cheyenne Records on August 12, 2002 in most of German-speaking Europe, with a September 2 release in Switzerland. Contemporary critics were generally positive with "Still in Love with You" who declared it brisk and dreamy.

In 2003, the track was awarded the NRJ Music Award in the Best German Song category. The single proved to be commercially successful upon its release, charting at number two in Germany, continuing the band's string of top ten hits. "Still in Love with You" also reached number four in Austria and number ten on the Swiss Singles Chart while it also entered the top forty of the airplay charts in Hungary.
